MS Society To hold Annual Walk, Awareness Week

Each hour within the United States, somebody is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an unpredictable, typically disabling illness of the central nervous system.
During MS Awareness Week March three-9, the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is encouraging space residents to hitch the movement to carry a few world free of MS by getting involved throughout the week. The organization can even hold its annual 1-, 2- or 3-mile walk April 5 at Homewood Central Park.
“Whether you’ve got MS yourself, know somebody with MS or are simply committed to constructing a greater community for us all, you can also make a difference within the lives of the more than 6,300 people who reside with MS in Alabama and Mississippi,” said Jan Bell, president of the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter.
MS Consciousness Week will kick off with a celebration on Monday, March three from noon to 1 p.m. at Rosewood Hall, and area residents are encouraged to wear orange — the colour of the MS movement — during the week or electronic mail a legislator about a difficulty necessary to individuals with MS, comparable to health benefits or accessibility.
